Ford Excursion, Power, Space and Style.
By: Chris Smith
When hitting the scene a few years ago, people assumed the Ford Excursion was another attempt to win the SUV size war. Initially
a bit put off by its intimidating size, this vehicle has grown on myself as well as other carbuyers. It truly gives you many
of the features originally intended for SUV's. This vehicle has the largest interior room and cargo space in its class and
all the power necessary for pulling trailors, boats, etc. (Photos top/down: Excursion side, interior,

You may be visiting the gas station a bit more than you would like with Excursion's gas mileage which falls around 12
mpg. Maybe this is why it has become increasingly popular with pop stars and athletes. A plethera of options are available
from rims and lift kits to entertainment systems and custom interiors. Fully accessorized Ford Excursion's can even be
found at specialty luxury car rental lots for a weekend out on the town.
A new Ford Excursion will run you anywhere from 32,000 to 42,000+, making it a bit harder to get into one of these vehicles.
Buying a used Ford Excursion may be the way to go for most consumers. One can typically find a good selection used Excursions
for sale with decent mileage, diesel options, and at relatively reasonable prices compared to a new purcahse. We recommend
a road test before purchase to check out the performance and suspension of the vehicle. It may be a slightly different
ride since it is considered a "medium duty" vehicle, a step up from the typical SUV classification.
