The Mini Cooper, Hot and Hard To Find.
By: Chris Smith
The Mini Cooper made a comeback in 2002 and has continued to turn heads since. It's stylish appearance and distinguishably small size seem to attract many fans young and old. It's similarity to the
Volkswagen New Beetle can't be denied, but with a bit more flare and refinement, they are hardly the same. Loads of cool gadgets and simple exterior lines make it a new conumer favorite.
Although many major changes appear in this new version of the Mini, it has maintained the character of it's predecessor. BMW has re-engineered the engine and given designers an open palette for cosmetic
changes. The retro-futuristic instrument panel, door handles, lights, wheels and top, hint at the original design while giving consumers a fresh new look.
Initially hard to find, some of these beauties have made it into the used car market. This sudden enthusiasm for the new Mini's has sparked an interest in the older models as well. Also a rare find
in the US, the older Mini's are sparsely scattered amongst owners around the country. An increasingly huge popularity and conumer demand makes this car a "mini" treasure for car buyers and
sellers alike.
