Detail: 01 Chevrolet 2500 HD pickup truck with 7.5 Western UltraMount snow plow and Swenson V Box Salter. Truck is extended cab with the half size back doors. Gray cloth interior with rubberized floors. 6.0 engine, 4x4 is the shift on the floor type, NOT the buggy push button. Truck has AC, Cruise, and a Pioneer CD player with iPod hookup. Great heat. Manual windows and doors. Truck has the rear suspension from a Chevy 3500. This basically means it has 2 extra leaf springs and a heavier duty axle. This was installed by the railroad company that originally owned it, I assume to allow it to haul the heavy rails. This truck can easily handle the weight of pulling a skid loader or dump trailer, although I have not done so with it.
Auto transmission was rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago, I think it was in July or August, I have paperwork and the tranny has about 14,000 miles and a little over a year left on the warranty. Work was done at TSI (Transmission Shop Inc) in Blaine.
Truck has 274,xxx miles but it was a railroad truck till about 5 years ago, when the railroad sold it at auction it had 250,xxx miles. The miles on this truck are almost all easy miles running a hydraulic motor to move the truck on the rails.
The plow is only 3 years old and is the new style Ultra Mount, it mounts up with one guy in less than 2 minutes. Very easy to do. New Cutting edge in Mid-December. Plow still looks great with original paint, and the euro style headlights. Has the newer style hand held control.
Salter Sander is a Swenson V box, with a 10 HP Briggs engine. It is electric start from in the cab, all the controls are mounted on a custom center console that I had made for the truck. It fires up right away. Last winter I replaced the starter, solenoid, battery, and had the carb rebuilt. This salter works great, it really slings the salt sand.
