Detail: This is a one-owner car. It’s been well cared-for, but is high mileage and needs work. I’d love to restore it, but I’m just spread too thin. It will be a good solid basis for a restoration of this relatively rare model Cutlass Salon.
What’s good: trans, Michelin tires, brakes (new E-brake pedal mechanism supplied), steering, suspension, U-joints, Bilstein shocks, front seats, Ziebart rust treatment. Handles great. Engine runs, starts easy, good power, but has lots of miles on it.
What needs work: body (some rust spots), Quadrajet carb needs replacement (poor mileage), crack in right exhaust manifold.; A/C including vent doors, radio is intermittent, interior trim, rear seat upholstery, carpet.
**Two engines: 1972 455 is installed; includes original 1973 455
**TH400 Auto Trans (rebuilt by AAMCO), limited slip differential, A/C.
